May 22, 2010 - DISTRICT TOURNAMENT
Singles: Robert Homan defeated by Beni Benalcazar (Upper Arlington). No State Qualifiers. Robert Homan played his best tennis of the year, particularly, in the first set, but lost to Upper Arlington 6-2, 6-0. In the first set, Robert had a chance to break serve on two occasions and he played nose to nose with his opponent. In the second set the Arlington player got on a roll and was difficult to contend with. By reaching the districts, Robert, Hayes' MVP and captain for the 2010 season, finished in the top 64 in the state as a singles player. Click here for complete Singles Tournament brackets.

May 13, 2010 - SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT
Hayes had an excellent day at the sectionals at Hilliard Davidson, winning seven matches overall. Robert Homan qualified for districts as a singles player, the first since 2005 and the fourth singles player from Hayes to qualify in the last 30 years. Robert did not lose a set in three matches. He defeated a Dublin Coffman player 7-5, 6-3 to reach the Districts. Nick Tanuredjo, normally a first doubles player, reached the final round before losing to the tournament's first seed. In Nick's first match, he was down 2-6, 2-5, won 5 games in a row to take the second set, and then went on to win the third set 6-2. Spencer Deigton and Josh Byerly won a round as did Hyeon Bae.

May 8, 2010 - OCC Tournament
Hayes won a good number of matches. Robert Homan was the runner-up at first singles and Dung Nyguen was the third place finisher at second singles. Robert had an excellent win in the semi-final round, defeating Nate Randall of BW 8-2, and Dung had a satisfying 8-2 win against Jim Shellito of Mt Vernon to whom Dung had lost earlier in the season. Except for the championship rounds, matches were shortened to 8 game pro sets because of the marginal weather conditions. New Albany swept the first place positions in all events.

This well played match could have easily gone to Olentangy 3-2. Although Homan and Leyva won decisively, all the other matches were in question. Both Hayes doubles teams played their best matches of the year, and Dung Nguyen came back from being down 3-4, then 4-5 before taking the match. Spencer Deighton, playing second singles, won his first varsity singles match as he won a tough three setter to decide the match. It was the last match off the court. Josh Byerly and Nick Tanuredjo had a well played match at second doubles. Robert Homan , continuing his excellent season at first singles, also won convincingly.
