March 11, 2006 - State Tournament
The Boys Hayes Bowling Team competed in the State Championships. Their goal of making it to the top eight to compete in the Baker format eliminations round fell short. Senior Spencer Galloway lead the Pacers to an 11th place finish. Wapakoneta lead after the first game with a 1117, followed by Fairmont 1068, Harrison 1061 and Hayes was in 12th with a 976. Hayes came back with a strong 3rd game of 1022 (2975 total) but it was not enough to place in the top eight.

The Pacer Bowling Teams opened their regular season in the Mid Ohio High School Bowling Conference against Buckeye Valley. The teams split with
the Hayes boys losing and the Pacer ladies winning. Boys Team stats are are follows:

The Pacer Boys and Girls Bowling Teams participated in the 2nd Annual Ohio High School Bowling Invitational "Kick-Off" Tournament
sponsored by the Bowling Centers Association of Ohio, the largest high school tournament in the country. Schools had to
qualify for the tournament based on last year's season finish. There were
38 boys teams and 22 girls teams representing all parts of Ohio. Boys representing the Pacers
were Cory Baldwin, Matt Brown, Sean Carnahan, Bryan Fathbruckner, Spencer Galloway, Chris
Hohe and Girard Olgetree-Crawford. Girls representing the Pacers
were Christa Baldwin, Kayla Lanham, Mary McNeal, Stephanie Murphy and Casey Vangundy.
All 5 person teams bowled 3 games each and the top 16 teams qualified to move to a Baker's style
single eliminations bracket. Unfortunately neither the girls or boys teams qualified.
The Top 8 individuals were named to the All Ohio Tournament Team and Pacer
Matt Brown earned the 2nd highest spot out of 245 boys. Brown bowled a 724 series with individual games of 245, 222, & 257.
