The 365 day extra-curricular and co-curricular policy is a supplement to the school policy, and will be enforced for students participating in extra-curricular (e.g. student council, athletics, cheerleading, clubs, trips, plays, National Honor Society) and related co-curricular activities which are not graded and extended beyond the normal school day (e.g. band, strings, choral groups).  Students with an alcohol/drug violation will be immediately terminated of all leadership positions; however, future positions may be held after 12 months and receiving an alcohol/drug assessment.  Parents, police and juvenile court will be notified of all alcohol and drug violations.  Proof of alcohol/drug assessment by a certified chemical dependency counselor must be completed within 30 days and 8 hours of related education completed within 60 days.

Parent involvement is required for the student to receive an alcohol/drug assessment and recommendations must be followed.  Failure to follow the assessment recommendations will result in the original penalty.  A principal-led team assisted by involved staff (advisor, coach, student assistance or other support staff) will determine how the percentage of denial to participate in season or schedule activities, including scrimmages and rehearsals will be allocated and imposed.
